Think my phone was too dark to see even that! Those really are a great looking wheel though.

Depending on the brand of the camper shell. I'm looking to see what snugtop, aer, and leers look like. Thanks

    I was being smart...

The major brands are actually really good about keeping up with factory colors. Most are pretty spot on when you order it in. Cement can be a tricky color though, there are shade differences with aftermarket stuff. Mine for example, tends to look a little lighter then aftermarket stuff or even parked next to other cement Tacoma’s.

It’s worth your time to scroll this thread and save pics (or links) of the mods you like so you can reference back later.

I’m sure I’m not the only one with cement porn on their phone.

These pics make me want to actually go wash and wax my truck. Forgot how good cement looked clean.

Anything to support this? I’ve only ever seen 1H5.

So how are you going to color match?

I just washed mine today and found a scratch on the front bumper and the back bumper. Damn shopping carts at Lowe’s. And they won’t buff out. :annoyed:
Edit: My color code says 1H5/FD15.

The FD15 is the interior color code

I have yet to find any paint code beyond 1H5 for cement. Going call that one nonsense until shown otherwise.

My best friend owns a body shop. Had him paint grill surround after it got chipped. His PPG mixing computer showed 6 variances'. All were very slight shade different. 3rd test spray, was a match to mine.

Oh ok. I guess for the seats? I changed them out to Katzkins.
My dealership doesn’t have any touch up paint in stock. I guess I’ll check at O’Reilly’s.

Automotivetouchup.com is about as close as you can get without going to a shop.

I’d be willing to bet that is more of a feature of the PPG programming in order to match vehicles with different shades effected by sun, manufacturing differences, etc. Even Toyota only lists the 1H5 code. I’m sure there are variances on some level for every (100 barrel?) batch of factory paint. Body shops need a way to adjust to meet those, and general exposure variances.

Yes, those variances are from the batches of factory paint. Like mentioned they are ever so slight. Most colors have some variances codes. Most he ever found was 14, which was a metallic gold. Them and silvers have the most.

It's amazing the amount of variance chart he has, looks like a library in his mixing room.

They (PPG) use to send out variance paint cards on a chain, so he could physically check. Well they don't anymore. So it's on him to figure out which one to use. Starts with Factory main, and works off that. He does have a paint match handheld gun, but said it not correct either all the time. He said never tries to panel shoot anything, always blend into next panel.
