All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
You thinking of putting anything in it; winch or lights?

Light for sure, still on the fence for a winch. Only reason that would deter me is I just did all the lifted suspension work myself and I would have to redo to support all the new added weight. 887 springs wouldn’t like the added weight and would sag like no other. So that’s something I have to consider since I literally just completed the lift 2 months ago...

Yes, I know the bumper looks naked without the lightbar but it's coming! Definitely looking to go 33's...

Been one week with my 21’ TRD OR 4x4 w/Tech package and loving it! Huge upgrade from my 09’ DCSB Prerunner. Installed N-Fab steps for kids, Tint and Extang bed cover/tacoma mat from my 09’. Also found out i had remote start w/ Tech package.

This was a pleasant surprise for me as well... I didn't realize the Tech package included remote start. I thought it was just the radar stuff...

Salesguy didn’t know it either..i was curious, tried the lock x3 the other night and got very excited when it started. I almost bought the N2 Designs starter but they were in testing.

I actually didn't know it came with the remote lock tailgate either. I'm an idiot for the most part.

I don't think it is part of the Tech package. It is part of the "Premium Audio and Navigation" package (also the full "Premium" package which is inclusive of that) as that includes the online features like Remote Connect, Service Connect, and Destination Assist.

That isn't standard either, at least from the factory. They do have an OEM tailgate kit now that some ports install I think, but technically it is still considered a separate accessory.

That’s what i thought but I didn’t get the premium audio/nav wich is why i was surprised. It didn’t list it in the paperwork or window sticker.

That's really strange! If you go to the build site it specifically calls out those remote features in the Premium Audio/Nav package and says nothing in the Tech package that is even remotely related.

    upload_2020-10-26_14-25-11.jpg

Maybe it is just part of the higher end (8"?) radio now that is included on SR5 and up, even if you don't get the "premium" upgrade to it.

Are yall talking about the remote start through the Toyota app? Or just the key fob? I thought the remote start with the key fob was standard on 2020s, but the Remote Connect stuff through the app was only on the Premium Audio and Dynamic Navigation package.

Oh that could be. My mind immediately went to remote start meaning truly "remote", but if they are just talking about the 3-button-press-on-the-fob start, then maybe it is included on those even without the upgraded radios/nav.

That’s awesome! I haven’t got to use mine much yet. I’m looking forward to having it for cold mornings. Is yours a 20 or 21?

Thanks. The bed rack is the 12" RCI. I got lucky and found someone local selling it on craigslist. Bought it at 3/4 of the retail price and didn't have to wait the 8 weeks lead time. :yay:
