Even if it is orange, can’t be too hard to change can it?

I had ordered a TRD Sport Cement DC tech/premium 4x2. Was to be built yesterday. They received a DC OR tech/prem 4x4, and everyone here said go with the 4x4. So, two days ago when it hit the ground I went over and looked at it. Went back yesterday, not thinking that I would actually buy, but they made the deal way too good to pass up.

They moved my Predator steps from my 16 to the 18, installed a pro grill, and debadged it. I drove it straight to discount tire, and had and had some 265/70/17 K02s installed on the 17 inch T4R pro wheels.

    I am very happy!

I am sure going to miss the pumpkin truck. It was a great truck. I hope the new one is good as the old one was.

Do the new Pro grilles have the clear cover over that area?

If you notice the 2018 model now comes with the plastic protection already in place. I was just wondering if your's came with it.

That was my question...the older ones come with mounts already in them, but it’s definitely not the same as the 2018, and probably re-designed for a reason.
You also need to aim and calibrate the wave radar once it’s verified to be in the correct spot. That’s quite a bit of labor to do.
If they had one of their lot boys swap your stuff to save labor, they probably didn’t do it.

The pro is also an inch nose high to the regular models, that’s why it’s lower on the grille

Well I supposed the only redesign was for the TSS sensor given it's now offered for the 2018's.
I'm sure the engineers accounted for people swaping grilles as well as reasonable lifts.

I was told by the dealer that '18 Pro grill isn't currently offered as an upgrade. I assume this is b/c the sensors are in different positions. It comes down to if your dealer will play ball or not. Mine currently doesn't want to play ball.

So, they put a '17 Pro grill on your '18?

I’m assuming that’s if you have THEM install it. Don’t see why you couldn’t order it and install it yourself.

If it were me, I'd want to make sure it's working the way I expected. The tss in my wife's rav4 actually saved her from a light collision in a parking lot. Someone pulled out from behind a big truck and the car stopped much faster than she would have been able to. Instead if dealing with an accident, the car stopped and we continue on with our day. I'm actually a big fan after seeing it in action.

I agree. I was told they don't have a part number yet. In another post somewhere, a person that was supposedly connected with Toyota I believe claimed that the part numbers for the '17 and '18 are the same, but not sure how that would be possible, if the '18 has the Plexiglas guard for the sensor. :notsure:

I would like to get the the Fab Fours Vengeance front bumper with the pre-runner guard, but it would cut right across the sensor. However, on the Pro grill the sensor appears like it might sit lower.
