Massachusetts

I painted steel wheels black and installing them on my truck.
They have the "enclosed" center caps.
All my center caps only have four clips, but have spots for 6...the dealership said that they don't sell the clips only.
I heard a lot of stories about the caps falling off.
Is there something else I can do to the caps to make them stay on, so I don't lose them.
Keep in mind it is 30 degrees out, up here in Massachusetts
