    A lot of stuff.
After searching forums, I ask this question:

I would like to add a switch to one of the empty black squares. I don't know how to access this area. I would put the switch over on the left side of the steering wheel, but none are available there.

Picture or video instructional tutorial would be great..

The AC control panel above will pop out to give you access.

I tried that, after removal of the AC control panel there is a small square hole that I can't fit my hand thru..etc.. Do you suggest removal of the entire center dash control units.

    What haven’t I changed?
You should be able to pry out the blanks using a small screwdriver or two (tape the ends with electrical tape to minimize damage to the surrounding plastic if you care about that sort of thing).

I don't have any pictures but I didn't remove the console or anything. I jus used some stiff wire as a fish line to get the wire headed toward the fuse box. Followed that with loom and tucked/tied away.

As others have mentioned, careful prying out the cover...the plastic surrounding it is very soft.
