My key is stuck in ignition, i tried all the different tricks, i.e. jiggle wheel shake wires etc.. I removed center console and noticed two white harnesses. I unplugged the bottom one and key went into lock and came out, if it is plugged in key will not come out. What are theses two harnesses I drove with bottom one unplugged and it does not seem to affect anything.

What is happening is the shifter is indicating that the truck is not in park, thus you are being prevented from removing your key. A lot of times things such as spilled drinks over the years will allow their "stickiness" to get into the shifter and prevent free movement of all the parts in the shifter. Inspect the shifter mechanism and see if it looks dirty, and follow that harness to see if the actuator is moving when you put the shifter into park.

This happened to me a few years ago. The shifter apparently has a metal guide plate in it that somehow got bent over time preventing it from going in park. I had the dealership fix it and was back on the road in an hour and $80.00 later. In the meantime, you can get the key out by just disconnecting the battery. Hope this helps.
