You should look into a solution that allows you to couple the dock with a ram mounts x grip. Thatd fit all phones well.

This printer started life as a Makerbot Replicator 2. I've upgraded and tuned it a fair bit to improve print quality, speed, and material capabilities. Although this printer was a byproduct of working for the company (cost me $0), they retailed for around $2,000. That being said, there are clones of the Makerbot that are pretty damn good printers nowadays that will print well and reliable out of the box for much less.

Both of the links below are Makerbot clones that are great machines for the price. Once you have the printer, then you just need to purchase some CAD software (or there are some pretty good free resources out there nowadays as well), teach yourself how to use it, and you're rolling.

Out of curiosity, what exactly am I to measure? I assume the width and the depth?

Can't wait to get my hands on this thing as I'm already thinking about how to modify it to accept some type of charging mount.

Correct, there's two measurements you need. It's best to take both measurements about 1.42" up from the bottom of the phone (this is the top of the "pocket" that the phone will sit in). I will attach reference pictures of these two measurements this evening.

Measurement 1: Measure the total outside width of the phone/case 1.42" up from the bottom of the phone

Measurement 2: Measure the total thickness of the phone/case 1.42" up from the bottom of the phone

@ManBeast In regards to the charging port - we're on the same page haha. I'm currently working on a revision with the charging port embedded. The next order of business is determining if folks would just want it to plug right into a cigarette outlet, or get a little fancier and have it wired to the fuse panel.

    Thanks,
    Tim

Just received mine this morning. Perfect fit for both phone and in the coin tray. Great quick service. Just ordered this week and it has delivered already. Was looking at the proclip before I came across this one. Just what I wanted for 1/3 the price. Thanks for the work on this T Mac.

Is that whereally the coinage is supposed to go? I thought that's what that pocket by the steering wheel was for.

Also, as a longer term review, the mount for the Galaxy S7/Life proof case needs a little 3m tape on the bottom to stay seated

Can you make one for a Microsoft Lumia 640, with no case? I use it to run Waze and OBD2 in the truck. Currently sits in cupholder mount, but I want the space back.

Has anyone who has one given any thought to modding it to accept a charging port for the Iphone 6?

Works just fine with mine. Opening at the bottom is plenty big to charge.
