It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
Someone installed one with 3 digit combination lock. he liked it, said you can still use the cigarette lighter and easy to install, just two screws. a little small for large guns.

How do you like it and how much space is there? I know you can fit a gun and wallet inside but what else have you fit inside?

It works really well. It does not take up much room because of how they designed it. The four legs open up and then bolt down. So the space it occupies is very little I have a bunch of stuff in there. 16oz cup full of change, knife, garmin edge 800, usb power cable and a bunch of other random stuff. It also has a cool friction lid that keeps the lid open while you are digging around in there.

With all of the stuff mentioned above in there, I still have room for my wallet and cell phone (Nexus 5x)

Nice, good to hear, the pictures look kind of deceiving on how deep it actually is when finished bolting down. Definitely gonna order it now

Did you end up getting it Jamlee? I'm looking to get one soon but have seen some pretty terrible reviews on the installation. Can either of you chime in on whether or not it was easy to install vs. having to drill more holes? Thanks!

I did get one. Installation it’s pretty straight forward, took about 10-15min. No drilling of any extra holes is required

Cool, let me look into if the fitment is the same between the 3rd gen model years. Are you still able to route the USB cables out of the console?

You should be able to, I don’t really use the cig lighter in there anymore . It’s just for show lol. I can fit a Glock 19, p365, 33rd mag, leatherman multi tool, small bottle of Advil, wallet, and some other items in there

The install is pretty straight forward. I found it too spacious, so I modified it. made it shorter so I could still fit my little console organizer. That's a Glock27 for reference.

Perfect, I've got the same gun. Looks like you can fit a lot in there! But its looking like a lot of the Amazon reviews from 2018+ are saying the fitment might not be as great, whereas the 2016-17 year tacomas have no complaints. Does anyone else have any insight?

Thanks! Yeah, one of the first things I did to it. I just measured it, bent the legs, redrilled the holes, and had to cut a little to get around the USB in the console. Not too complicated though.

Sounds easy enough. Before you shortened it, do you remember if the holes lined up?

Edit: Also, I noticed you have the tumbler lock - do you have a link/SKU for that model? Couldn't find it online.
