Center console won't stay closed

    The console my right elbow rests on won't stay closed. The springs in the lid release seem to have disappeared.
    Anyone have any idea what the springs should look like (specs), or how to fix this? Many thanks!

    Design flaw by Toyota. A small plastic tab that retains the spring breaks off. You have to buy the whole assembly from your local dealer. I think it’s $30 or so. My second one didn’t last very long so I just ghetto rigged it

    Happened to me some time ago. You can get the latch replacement from Amazon. Color is off slightly, but it works..
