    Installed a center console made for a Jeep after a few cuts from my dremel oscillating saw and staple gun to put the fabric in place.

    Oh yeah had to take off the armrests on the seats that I put in from a Tundra for clearance for the lid and also taking out the original cup holder in the center.

    I cut open the bottom half of where the sunglass holder is up halfway and about 3 inches of the bottom.

    if you have a extended cab or 4 door I wouldn't worry about cutting anything.

    Oh yeah , the coin holder like mounted upside down by the manufacturer. I removed it and mounted it up the right way

    I would put some accesory outlets in place of that coin holder. Thats just me

    Yeah with e payments these days of everything , coin toll roads are things of the past but I 'm old school still like good old $$

    I have been looking for a center console replacement that is secure enough to lock handguns in, which model Jeep was this designed for?

    They have other ones on Amazon strictly for security lock up. This Console for Jeep CJ-5 1976-1983, CJ-7 1976-1986, Wrangler YJ 1987-1995

    Hello bigbeariuka there is no problem with shifter. console has plenty of extra space unlike the OEM
