    Hey Folks!

Quick question. I was under my truck yesterday greasing the u-joints in my driveline. I noticed my centre/carrier bearing has significantly more play than it used to. I can move the driveshaft in the bearing side to side probably over an inch.

However, I have no symptoms. I don't notice any vibrations that usually indicate failure. The only thing I think I may be experiencing is it does clunk from time to time. Ive been chasing what I thought was a suspension clunk for a while, but everything I check is tight (Lower control/upper control arms, I recently replaced LBJ, leaf springs are tight, spare tire is snug, heck I even checked if a gas tank strap broke, and my tank was thumping around). I have a feeling I the clunk is from the driveshaft being repositioned when the rear suspension flexes and it makes contact. I could be way out to lunch on this, but curious if anybody has experienced similar symptoms?

Regardless, I will be replacing the bearing, and have the part on order. I'll update this post if it fixes the problem when I get to it.

Thanks in advance for any input.
