so not sure but do these just pop off with a screw driver or do you have to remove the lugs? 2004 Prerunner. Not sure as it goes over some lugs. I want to paint them. Any suggestions on type of paint?

I usually take a pry bar or large flat head and just pry it up

It comes off without taking the lugs off. The lug wrench has a flat "spoon" type at the end that is made to pop them off. Might even be a notch for it.

Yank it off with your hand. Nothing to it.

Painted the rims black, rear AAL, 1" front lift spacer. Bitchin ride bro
There's a slot in 2 spots above the 6 lug nuts were you put the lug wrench tip in and pry them off. I have the same rims and ended up painting them and the center caps black. Rustoleum black industrial paint is what I used 2-3 coats And its easy to touch up at any time. I left the chrome lugs nuts for contrast
