Hey all, I pushed up on my carrier bearing and thought maybe it's normal but maybe it's not. I did notice I can poke my finger through some metal holes and into the rubber area and the rubber is hollow or concave. Is that the same on y'alls trucks? The rubber visible on the exterior seems solid. The amount of movement I get depends on how hard I press obviously. With one arm I can't press it much. With both arms I can move it as seen in the video. I'm not too strong.

    Video of the play:

This one shows a hole with the hollow rubber. Was it cast this way? Or did it degrade?

This one shows a second hole with the same hollow rubber.IMG_4833.jpg

This one is showing the typical good condition rubber as seen all along the outside on the front side and the rear side.

1/4" or so of play in any direction is normal. The condition of yours looks fine for how old it is.

Thanks, I also just realized I totally forgot to post the video of me moving it!! I think I'm getting half inch or maybe a bit more pushing upwards, maybe 3/4 or an inch of total play?

I mean unless its making noise or vibrating the fillings out of your teeth its probably fine. My brand new one has 1/4" maybe more of play in it. If it was rigid, it would vibrate alot too. The DS needs room to wiggle a bit.
