Good afternoon... The DEA / Marmon Ride Control (A6070 model) center support bearing I purchased from Rock Auto doesn't have a directional arrow stamped on it to indicate which faces the front of my truck (2009 TRD Sport 4X4). The one I'm replacing is OE and has the arrow...all the videos I've seen mention the arrow and making sure to put it on the right way. The metal bracket housing, let's say have four corners...two of those corners on the same side are 'notched'...if that makes sense. Any thoughts or experiences with this will be appreciated!

I looked, and I couldn’t find anything other than the single hole goes down. And arrow towards the front.

Thanks, yeah...single hole on bottom (one side) and two holes on top (other side), I believe that's correct, now...just gotta figure out which side goes towards the front as there is no arrow etched onto the metal frame of the bearing. I sent a msg. to the manufacturer and we'll see if I get a response. Appreciate ya taking the time to check it out and reply. I'm not opposed to sending it back and getting a different one. Such a wide price range for those ($20 up to $80)... I could go to the dealership and pay $160 for one, nah...I'm not doing that.

You will likely be replacing that within two years. Both aftermarket center bearings I bought went bad quickly. I don’t recall a direction of travel. If you can, place the bearings side by side to see if they are asymmetrical.

For reference, the Spicer bearings are the way to go. They make the oem’s for Toyota, they even have the Toyota # stamped on it. Both 5002334 and 5002007 fit; 007 has seals and is listed for 4x4 models but either one will fit, I have the 334. It costs less and is easier to find.

Appreciate your post and I almost went with the DANA Spicer 007. It was the most expensive ($84) one listed on RA's site. My truck is a 4WD. After the side by side comparison, I believe we chose the correct positioning of it. I had a buddy help me... Replaced all three UJ's and the CB. If/when I have to do it again, hopefully I'll remember that it wasn't that bad a job and can be done. Saved myself well over $1,000 expenses!

    How did you mount it?
    Notches forward or backwards?

The reason I ask is, I case someone else comes along with the same question.
If we don’t hear back from you, we will assume it was ok the way you mounted it.

Or if it wasn’t and you have a problem later , maybe you can update us:thumbsup:

We noticed the OE CB's rectangular bolt hole was closer to one side of its frame and that side was pointed towards the front of the truck. The new CB's rectangular bolt hole was cut the same way, so we put the new one on like the OE was positioned. Should have taken some photos now that I think about it. I'm sure I'll be back under there tomorrow as they need some grease (new ones are serviceable) and a next day check and I'll take a few photos. Good idea... I'll comment how my experience goes with this setup over time to share.
