centering screw help

    alpine head unit, removed secondary air filter, 18" XD Rockstars. 285/60/R18, 3" OME 884/AAL OME shocks all around.
    i stripped out the centering screw while putting my aal in. can i use a different screw? is that all it does is center the leafs?

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    All it does is hold the leafs together. You should be able to pick up another one at a local auto parts store.

    BHLM, Painted Stock 17" sport rims black, 3" Toytec coil overs with 5100's, AAL, black bull bar, TRD filter, parrot bluetooth, anytime foglights, debadged, removed mud flaps, added bed lights, grillcraft, Wet Okole's, Weather Tech's.....and traded in for a Tundra
    any bolt from the hardware store should work as long as it's long enough (and not too long).

    ok.. i'm just using some bolts i found laying around. what torque setting did you guys use to tighten those?

    No torque value for them. Just get them snug, with the leafs all touching.

    those screws were junk. and now that little flat part on top of the shock you need to hold on to to take the nut off just snapped off.. this project is killing me!

    heheh. my stuff goes in on saturday. would love to know how the OP stripped the fasteners. are you using the centering bolt to pull everything together tight? no c-clampage first?
