I've only driven the truck once, so no name yet. I'm sure something will pop up lol

 

ill probably catch a ride if it's anywhere that's a good distance away. unless it's in Leed, cough cough dave cough cough. I might be able to drive it out to montevallo but its risky.

 

Sounds like it is time to gather up some funds and invest some more $$ in the truck Matt. I thought you had everything fixed at this point?

right now it's not! lol. Got the alternator out and cant get the damn thing bolted back up. There is a lip on the bracket that is keeping me from installing it. I am about to go out there and cut it of with a saw. lol.
If my plans go through this weekend, I will be able to drive anywhere and go to any meets that we have here!

 

Went out and bought a dremel and grinded down what was in my way. Got the alternator installed and now the damn truck won't start. I need it to run for Saturday!!
It will turn over but not fire!!!!! HELP!!!!!

 

ok. got the efi fuse to not pop anymore. read on yotatech.com and everyone was saying that the o2 sensor wire was touching their exhaust. Well, mine wasn't touching the exhaust but I unplugged it hoping it would work. Well, it did, no more popping EFI fuse.
My problem now is that it is turning over but not firing. It is wanting to fire, I can hear it thorough the exhaust. By that I mean it is "coughing"

 

Heat coming out of the exhaust when you're turning it over or just gas fumes? You may not be getting a spark.

 

i've got a spark to the wires. I pulled the plugs and they were soaked with fuel. I am about to go to Advance and get new ones.

 

plugs didn't fix it. I am going to rotate the motor to TDC and move the distributor to plug 1 on the cap.

 

Dang I miss out on everything! I burnt my clutch up!

I called Bill yesterday, and he said all he had to do was put the wheels on and wire the lights. The truck will be ready pending any surprise disasters.

I'll be heading down there either this afternoon or saturday to install the new brake lines and door handles. Also picking up a K&N air ffilter cleaning kit to clean the ffilter that's on there. We should def meet up along the way somewhere.

 

thats what i was thinking.... just not sure where cuz i dont know which way you will take to get there.

 

I haven't even looked up the address Jo posted yet. I'll look up the route when I get home and let you know.

 

ok. if nothing else send me a text, prob wont be around a comp after this evening. (school tonight and swapping tires, then working til we are done on the drywall tom at my buddies)
