so you paid the MSRP price when you made your final payment to them or when you got the finance amount? That's a good deal in California

Looks like California has been holding the line on pricing. Maybe they are starting to "blink" as the early adopters thin out.

I' considering flying into Sacramento and Uber it to Auburn (from SoCal) to score this deal. Might wipe out the below invoice savings, but at least I support dealers who don't gouge.

right now that's a good deal. on maui i had to pay $800. over sticker but they gave me $19800. for my 2008 so that amount was not taxable.
we in hawaii have to pay a bit more, that's just the way it is here. could try to do a internet deal from the mainland but still have to pay about 1K to ship.

5k over msrp ?... will never give Longo a shot, even if offered a 'deal' because of that insult price. Try down south too, Carlsbad has been fair with me.

I would never do business with a dealership that markups on the MSRP because there in high demand what a gimmick...it took some work to get my truck the first day I went I walked out after 6 hours of negotiations cause I didn't get the deal I wanted. They told me truck would get sold for asking price in 24 hours. Obviously it didn't cause I get a phone call 24 hours later and got it for MSRP out the door

For those in NorCal, Skymaster is correct and Greg at Merced Toyota is going $250 over invoice. Talked to him on the phone today and a solid guy. Driving up on Sat to put my deposit on a DCSB OR in Quicksand... Let the wait begin!!

I was told today that the production date is 11/20 and I have not had to put anything down as of yet. He made it sound like the Costco deal might change a little as far as discount. Said it might go lower than $250 lower than invoice but probably would not go higher. I have a copy of the tear sheet with the MSRP prices of the build and it does include destination fee. He will have discounted prices on paper once the unit is produced. Once I have those firm numbers I will certainly take a snapshot and post the results. I would imagine that the $900 destination charge would be lumped in there. Not sure what TDA fee is, but I'm looking at paying an additional $3300 for tax and docs based off of DMV calculator.

Thats insane. Worst I saw so far was Downtown LA Toyota was $4000 Market adjustment because it is a "hot truck".
(BTW I'm new to forums, if i screw something up, be gentle)

I have tried costco pricing. Unavailable.
Ive emailed all my nearest dealerships and all they offer is MSRP.
Ive gone to Norwalk, Long Beach(Hooman), Cerritos, Santa Monica, Marina Del Rey, Downtown LA.
    Not much luck anywhere

I got 3 quotes all at MSRP and lowball for my trade. Then I remembered dealing with them in 2008 when I bought my Tundra from them. It's all playing out the same.

    1. They make their "offer".
    2. I walk out
    3. Thy call 3-4 times.
    4. I decide to make my offer, they refuse... "That's preposterous!"
    5. They call back a couple days later accepting my offer.

Just think how much time they would have saved just taking my initial offer. Well, this time I'm not doing it. I'm off Toyota. They're lucky they have retirees coming in paying MSRP for their camrys every 3 years and not asking questions. Nissan.. please make the frontier cool again... (haha. I hope that's not like asking for a knobber after getting married)
