Central California Orders $250 over invoice!

Friend of mine bought a loaded sport $1000 off Msrp last week
Keary Mesa Toyota also said $1000 of Msrp to order
That was with a 2 min phone call to sales manager.
Toyota can go screw. It's bull shit that they send a very small amount of 4x4 to SoCal just because there's no snow here. Mean while AZ NV and northern Cal have all 4x4 s packed on there lots

 

You can drive up there and buy one. It isn't hard.

People down here buy 2 wheel drives because a Tacoma is a car down here, not a truck for 95% of those who buy it

It's not Bull shit, it's business. If Toyota sent too many 4x4 here, they would all cost more because they would be sitting here and not selling

 

Here in the northeast, I have yet to see a 2016 Tacoma on the road. I had to order my SR5 Access cab, 4x4 , V6, with a build date of 11/04.
I was only able to get $800 off the sticker but I wanted the truck and did not want to wait for production to catch up to demand.

 

There are very very few off-roads up in the Central Valley on the lots. And those that are, are marked up. If you can wait the 8 weeks or so, it's worth the drive up here!

 

Got my truck ordered with Greg at Merced Toyota today at $250 over invoice. Talk about easy... placing the order with Greg was easier than ordering my last cup of coffee!

My buddy drove over a couple hours after me and placed his order for one as well.

 

Have you paid? Have you put down deposit? What fees are they going to charge? TDA? Documentation?

I want to give it another month before I pull the trigger and I don't want to bug Greg if I can get the answer from someone who has already been through the process. So please fill us in Toynado (great name BTW).

I am surprise you got a good deal from merdead Toyota. I live 5 miles from them. had too many issue with their sales team.

Build times are around 8-12 weeks. Pulling the trigger now only means your out a small deposit and 1 month less waiting time. I have no idea who everyone is here but as others have commented, this deal is legit. It only takes 10 min at the dealer.

unfortunately no, but I do know a few guys there in the service department.

parents bought a 2004 sienna from them and a few weeks later told them to bring it back due to some paperwork error. While my parents were there one of the salesman (asian, fucking hate his guts) insist on trading it in for a 2009 sienna which they did. It was more of a force to trade base on what they told me, so yeah they sucked. Second time my bro went in to trade his 2009 corolla xrs for a 2008 Tacoma sport 4x4, all they could do was trade it for a lease. I got there somewhat late and look over the paperwork and it stated lease, give them a wave and walk out from the finance room. I told him to go to modesto Toyota and he came back with a 2008 white sport 4x4. so yeah modesto did a better job. guess it just depends on who you work with, but one thing about Asian hmong in particular loves to put down quite a bit of money and don't ask question.

So, yeah... Greg is the guy and READ your contract. Seems like a personal issue, not Merced Toyota issue. And I am not sure what you meant by "Asian" but lets keep this about trucks please!

 

Been lurking on the forum for a month. I was gonna get a 2016 DBLB Sport a couple weeks ago from Merced toyota but they wanted MSRP. So I walked out. Yesterday got a text from them saying the manager is willing to take 1000 off MSRP but only trucks on the lot (which they didn't have the one I want). I asked about what about $250 over invoice and he said the manager would do it. But u had to order it and it would take around 2 months. So Merced Toyota is really offering 250 over invoice on orders.

No I didn't. I have a deposit on a truck at another dealership that is suppose to come the beginning of next month and they're giving me 1500 off MSRP. If that deal doesn't go thru, I'll definitely go thru Merced Toyota.
