Absolutely, $250 over invoice, more than fair. You can likely do better at any of the high volume dealers right now, at the end of the month. Besides the 2% hold back, Toyota throws cash at them for making volume targets.

 

I told him to hire a helper. I am just trying to keep you all in the loop. If he is selling cars on the lot today, I would assume orders for trucks months from now are not as big as a priority but that is just my .02.

 

I used their contact form to contact the dealership. Do they even have an internet guy?

 

So Greg emailed me back and said I needed to schedule an appointment to place the order. I had asked if it was necessary to travel up there but he didn't answer that part. Does anyone know if you have to do the order in person or is it possible to do it over the phone so we only have to make 1 trip up there when the truck is ready to pick up?

Well my wife and I might have to do some scheduling maneuvering...(we have opposite work schedules). If both of us are going to be on the title I wonder if only one of us can be there for the ordering...

*update: Greg said only 1 person needs to be there for the order, both for pick up.

 

Forgot to post my results in this thread. Done deal. $250 over invoice. They do charge TDA though, about $600 (may be negotiable - I was just happy to be able to order the exact configuration I want). Greg is a nice dude and said to spread the word.

36K & change plus TTL for a 4X4 TRD DCOR, LB, tow package, JBL premium tech package, quicksand.

yes. We aren't pursuing that option due to the long wait time. 18-20 weeks

Yeah it's the rare beast so who knows how soon (although AT, which may help a little). Quicksand 4x4 TRD OR DC LB, AT, tow, tech w/JBL.

My build date is slated for November 23rd. I am crossing my fingers for a quick delivery. I sold my Subaru way to fast and am now driving a loner 2002 v6 auto Camero! OMG I hate every minute I have to sit in that car!!! Chevy garbage.... Who the F$&@ could ever build a car like that not to mention the poor bastard who bought that thing to begin with! hurry up Toyota! PLEASE!

How long did it take for Toyota to accept the order? And how often did you bug Greg asking about it? lol. I don't want to annoy him but he isn't that great at giving any kind of update. I just can't wait until my truck is at least in the system and I can get a build date, even if that date is 6 months away...
