I like small town/rural areas but need to rent. So it makes it a little harder to get farther out of the city. I'll search those towns tonight to see if I can find anything.

Glad to hear Chatham is good. I'll be checking out a place there tomorrow.

agreed, not a lot around here... I used to take my 4 wheelers over to badlands, but hate to drive 2 hours to wheel for a bit then drive back 2 hours. hoping to find a local group that maybe has private land that has some decent trails. Been talking about camping down at current river this summer, so maybe Missouri will be some fun :)

I wheel with MO4wd.com check them out on fb, or the STL thread here if fairly active. Current is a nice float and tons of good random FSR's to do down in mark twain. Plus Flat Nasty is a nice park. I havent been to the badlands yet. but from the pics it looks like a sand pit and rock crawler place.

back when I used to 4 wheeler there they did have lot's of dunes, and some rock crawling, but a lot of trails too, some hard, and some easy.

i'll check out the FB and see what's going on in the St Louis area too. problem is STL is 3 hours south of me. i'm right smack dab in the middle of IL.

whoa i didn't even think of that -
maybe that could be its name...
i'm eventually either going to upgrade wheels or powder coat the stock ones a bronze color and complete the look.
when i get around to it of course

Well the truck is mostly iron... So, add the cool paint job, I think it's a fitting name! Put this across the tailgate!
