I have used a flat to semi gloss shoe dye cream with a heat gun for near perfect results. Had some minor scuffs but after doing this it has lasted 4 years, adding your favorite interior protestant it looks 100% perfect. The heat gun flatten out the scratch, then blotting the scratch level with the dye. Been doing this method on vehicles for years and works every time.

I have heard of people doing this but it would be cool to see a video of the step by step process. A lot can go wrong with a heat gun.

Has anyone else noticed that the black plastic has a purpleish hue in certain light? I first noticed it in my 2020 but see it in my 23 as well. I’ll have to get a pic tomorrow

Thanks for the ceramic coating tip. Will give it a try. Was washing my truck yesterday and thinking about the door panels while doing the interior wipe down. The plastic they use is so soft.

Follow up.....I strongly would not recommend coating the door panel. Looked great for about two months. However, it now does not look good three months after application. The coating seemed to break the plastic down and turn it grey. Looked better with the original scratches.

If your talking about the gtech for plastic (forget the products actual name) it’s good stuff, been using 3-4 years now (2 maybe 3 applications)- I use it on my exterior plastic (hood “deflector”) and still need to remove the windshield cowl to coat that. will do the rear bumper plastics when it’s warm again. I coated the oem roof rack before install too. Not sure why the results would change depending on exterior or interior but if I was op I’d ask for the company thoughts on this for possible causes and solutions

FWIW, my interior plastic has been several different shades of black and weird dark purple since the day I bought it new.

    Yes

I only really see black or purplish black but this is 1 of the only things I think truly bothers me about the truck still 5 yrs later. It’s fine until I get a glimpse of the purple then I’m standing there at different angles trying to make sense of it
