I have a quote from a local guy that does the cars at many Toyota dealers.

    For our truck size dcsb
    Body
    Tail/headlights
    Windshield
    Wheels
    And interior

    I’m at $999

    What do y’all think?

Mine is about 2300 for a life time with every year recharge and about 15ish hours of paint correction and polishing

    Oahu, Hi
Thats about going price, I would do research and checkout other detailers around your area. There are many different coatings out there also.

The stuff looks pretty good. Paint correction idk of it’s needed. My truck is pretty taken care of.

Are you referring to the “orange peel” look?

    Oahu, Hi
I just didn't care for their gimmicky advertisements, there are other coatings that are proven good that came out before ceramic pro. Also I can guarantee your truck needs paint correction before applying any ceramic coating, I have yet to see a car from the dealership without light swirls or scrathces. Honestly if you have the time, doing it yourself would be the best bet.

Did you do any paint correction?

Or just a complete detail and coat?

$2300? You could of had the whole vehicle covered in 3M protection film (skip chip) for that.

What I like about Ceramic Pro is that I've got a full warranty on the ceramic coating . So any defects I notice in the finish will be covered free of charge

These (2) pics showing the paint approx 2 weeks since getting the Ceramic coating applied . the truck has a layer of dust on it but you can still see a very deep reflection in the paint

Yes I could have BUT that stuff doesn’t last what 7 years? Changes colors, then I have to get it redone..... my truck is out side not garage kept I have had 3m on other vehicles and sitting out side all the time ruins that stuff. I also used to live in a town with a paper mill and the crap it puts in the air doesn’t help the life of 3m stuff. With ceramic I can have it redone every year FOR FREE FOR LIFE.... So it depends on what you want.. Also look at his truck above. Anyone that has gotten ceramic coating done to their vehicle has not wished they went with 3m that I have found yet...

The million dollar question is.... drumroll please! Are these places that apply this going to be around when you have to reapply it or correct the paint?

Frankly I don’t see it happening. These places close up shop faster than they started. Then part two of that question is.... is the manufacturer of the snake oil going to stand behind its product, or find a loop hole in the lifetime guarantee big enough to drive a semi through.

We have seen all kinds of this come and go and not a one is still standing.

    Haters need not reply!
