Update 11/12. Group buy is closed

Alright guys finally back into the swing of things and if by next monday everything is good then this buy will be back on.

So for those still interested stay tuned.

    OP

Alright guys so here it is or almost is

So I decided a while back that I wanted to offer a hardshell RTT but without the hardshell pricing, I figured it was something that I could handle and hopefully benefit some people that want to upgrade or have been holding out for an affordable hardshell RTT. So here I am, offering a hardshell to compete with soft-shell pricing

    The details

Hardshell RTT, black shell with green fabric
    Dimensions- Outer 85"x53"x12" Inner 47.5"x81"x36"
    Fabric 280g UV/water/tear proof
    Fiberglass/stainless construction

    1yr warranty

(better details coming soon with pictures of the details)

So pricing, my goal from the beginning was a $1500 price point. After figuring out most of the costs involved I can say that $1500 is starting to become a reality. Now shipping to each person has proven to be difficult for me, Even with discounts shipping is expensive. So I have a tentative plan in place and will likely involve a flat shipping fee, probably $150. My plan will also ensure that I can inspect each tent packaging for visual damage to cut down on damaged goods from careless delivery drivers

My shipping plan is literally delivering each tent myself, you will have the tent within a couple of days after I receive them

These numbers can still fluctuate but I doubt it.

So right now I'm looking for a head count of people that are interested, It takes 40 tents to fill a container. If you are interested I need a city and state so I can work out my shipment plan of attack. You can send me a PM if you do not wish to share your city openly

Feel free to ask any questions, and I will answer to the best of my ability.

So here is a time line from this small buy for those curious:
    7/14 tents were ordered
8/4 Everything was ready for shipment
    8/22 Shipment on vessel
8/26 Shipment transferred to another vessel
    9/13 Landed in port
9/18 should be available for pick up and picked up from yours truly

So a handful of things went unplanned. Between a shipping agent change, paperwork filling issue, port issue, and a vessel change it all cost much more time than expected. I was shooting for a 9/1 arrival and lost two weeks between the above listed.

Interested but I want some details before confirming, because even $1500 is pretty pricey. Do you have a website with details and/or options? More pictures?

If I go in, I do have the ability and room to receive and (temporarily) hold a drop ship for any Cascadians. I am in Portland, OR.

$1500 for a hardshell is cheap

    Tents go on trailers :D

Ill have more in depth details soon, like tonight. $1500 is a lot of money but 3-5k is also a lot of money which is the going price for majority of the Hardshell RTTs on the market

They are huge if you need to transport them in the box itself. Box dimension is 91x55x15

Hmm, after looking at your photos again, that thing is pretty long. No sweat for a 4Runner or if you're running a shell. But I have Relentless bed bars in a short bed. Looks like it would hang off of the rear.

Very true, thinking of a tear drop style trailer which would allow me to add a RTT later on. But have not even really started to look.

How tall is it? Can you easily sit up in it?
