For those interested in the Wedge

Price will stay the same, the larger model full pop tent is the only one that will cost more. The interior is mostly the same but does not have a liner on the roof, it is just bare plastic so no insulation. It does weight more, its built with a metal frame top and bottom. Fabric material is the same, shell material is different as it is a textured plastic rather than a fiberglass. Its a little wider but not my much, maybe 2" at most. Its about the same length but with the lid lower on the one side your feet may touch the shell when sleeping. side doors have pop up windows like the normal tent, rear does not nor does the rear have a place to hang a ladder, you can use it as an entrance but only if you have a ladder mounted to the vehicle else where otherwise you have to use the side entrance with the provided ladder. Set up and tear down time is cut in half

Can you post measurements of these tents, both open and closed? Also, would you be open to taking payments over a period of time? I would like to give you a down payment on the bigger hardshell, and set a date to have it paid off by.....What do you think?

what's the desire/benefit/purpose of a wedge tent over the standard hardshell? I simply don't see the reason to choose a wedge over a regular...

The original tent is posted, the wedge is the same length, about 2” or less wider, and about 2” talled when closed.

Payments is a tough one, the problem is I am on the hook for a large amount of money and if everyone did payments then it puts me in a bind because I need availability to all the funds at any given time because when money is asked for I need to be able to pay within a day, especially when it starts the voyage across the water. Just for knowledge I take PayPal for payment, so you have a couple of different options when it comes to where the money is coming from when paying with PayPal. Another option is when I get all the tents and it’s time for the extras to find homes than I can let them go so that gives you a good amount of time to put money away

Is there any planned changes to the flat top tent for round three compared to the ones offered on round two?

After using both, I'm more of a fan of the wedge. I'm 6'1" and recently destroyed my spine in a motorcycle accident, there's not enough room for me to comfortably sit up in the popup. Depending on how I lay and where my head is, my feet do touch the shell of the wedge, but I'll take that trade off any day.

Only change I am going to propose is an additional flap for the window overhangs. That has been the most asked for change. I am just trying to make sure it’s a piece I can retrofit on previous models. Other than that I am pretty happy with the tent, I would like to see some stuff in the future but they are big ticket items like a new fabric color along with a new shell design

ah ok, so it's just the additional head room on one end?

guess me being the height I am I wasn't real concerned with it. I think the wedges look goofy and I would hate to have my feet pinned in a spot like that, but to each their own!

I mean at my height, my toes will graze the shell. I haven't been in a situation where my feet are pinned in a certain part of the shell. But if you're taller, go with the popup

    Update 1/18:

Alright second buy is completed, I am home and rested. So some details that is changing from the last buy. The price needs to change as things came out to be little more expensive than planned, I would rather be on the safer side. So Shipping as a whole was $150, I capped it off because that was my word on the high end of shipping and I stuck to my word rather than hit everyone with $50 more than they had planned. And the last change is the shipping charge collected at a later date, its hard to keep up with and track so I will just collect the entire amount up front.

So round 3 is live, 20-25ppl will be needed, $1700 delivered.

    OP

Alright guys so here it is or almost is

So I decided a while back that I wanted to offer a hardshell RTT but without the hardshell pricing, I figured it was something that I could handle and hopefully benefit some people that want to upgrade or have been holding out for an affordable hardshell RTT. So here I am, offering a hardshell to compete with soft-shell pricing

    The details

    Hardshell RTT
Your choice in Colors: Black/White shell, Green/grey/tan fabric
    Dimensions- Outer 85"x53"x12" Inner 47.5"x81"x36"
    Fabric 280g UV/water/tear proof
    Fiberglass/stainless construction

1yr warranty, this warranty is a manufacture warranty. I order extra tents in case one is shipped with a defective part so I can swap out on the spot, having a same color combo extra may or may not happen depending on the color combo. Whatever happens I will do my best to make sure you are taken care of by dealing with the manufacture myself.

My shipping plan is literally delivering each tent myself, you will have the tent within a couple of days after I receive them

Feel free to ask any questions, and I will answer to the best of my ability.
