Let me know if you decide to come by/through the Vegas area though!

So soon as I crossed the border I headed straight for Top of the World, the view is incredible. While on the trail I noticed the rear passenger side was rubbing near the bottom, I probably hammered that piece in so many times until it would stop rubbing. Unfortunately by the time it happened it caught the tire pretty good and took some small chunks out and one large piece, over half the lug. Pretty bummed about that but shit happens I guess. So I took both flares of since they were getting a little bit of action and the driver side cracked lol, it will be fine just gonna have to live with it until I fix it.

Anyways finished the trail and headed towards rose garden hill by the way of kokopelli trail and dolores river overlook. Ive never been this way or any real part of the kokopelli but it started off fine and then all of the sudden it got really narrow making a steep hill climb one after another. I kept going thinking it was the way but really wasn't sure and told myself if it doesn't get any better and I find a spot to actually turn around I would. It took me right to the main road, I guess I somehow ended up on the difficult bike section or difficult jeep trail (all that its labeled as lol). But soon after I found this nice camp spot, wind is calm here and I have service so thats a plus.

Tomorrow ill be starting off right into rose garden hill down to onion creek road and finally into the town of Moab. I need to grab a angle grinded to clear out the rear some more so thats the plan for when I get into town, not sure what trail I will run afterwards.

Long and boring, took a nap before denver so I wont up in time to get in front of traffic and make it over the pass before the snow came.

All good, probably wont be able to make it that far west, we will have to get together sometime and do a death valley trip

Little update about last night. So I finished getting some shit done and tried going to sleep but wasn't happening at 730 lol, bored as fuck. So I figured whatever I'm gonna go run rose garden hill down into onion creek road and camp somewhere near the road into Moab instead.

So since I had some service I just turned on google maps to lead the way. So I very lightly read about rose garden and came across some stuff that was part of the trail including one steep loose rock climb called "rose garden hill" lol. So some sketchy areas but overall wasn't bad, hard trails are hit or miss in Moab imo. Well I finally get to this area where it was a gate and was thinking to myself that would suck if the gate was closed and locked and had to back track all that way.

What was after the gate is rose garden hill, which was not the hill I thought I already passed. I pulled up to it and slightly into it but not down the first ledge because even with all my lights on I couldn't see down the hill. So I get out and take a look which I normally don't do but had a bad feeling so out I went. This hill was straight sketch, big rock ledge after big rock ledge and they were close together at times, one was big enough to get me high centered and another was off camber into the edge of the trail which was steeper than the trail. On top of all that it was nothing but loose rock and dirt on top of everything.

So zero traction, downhill, offcamber, highcentered, and no cell service. I called it knowing that something bad would happen and it wasn't worth it even though at the bottom of the hill was the start to onion creek which is just a nice dirt road from my understanding. I even opened the book I have to read the trail, from what i gathered the trail is meant to be ran the up not down and never alone.

So I had the pleasure of back tracking all the way and made it to Moab about 2hrs later, long night

Didn't do much today besides butcher my bedsides, met Jon (for those on IG) and ran fins n things. I had plans to run more trails but said fuck it and left Moab for Zion. That way I can hike tomorrow and maybe Friday but I'll have some time to go over the routes I want to take for the North rim of the Grand Canyon and have a better plan for after the GC because right now I don't have much

If only I could afford Goose Gear stuff, would love a drawer system to go behind my driver seat to store tools and such.
