Don't think I posted in here yet after moving to 35s, some initial thoughts to those looking to make the leap to 35s with a 3inch lift.

My mpg hasn't changed much, I like the bigger tire driving around town (potholes are smaller), I had to raise my front up from my almost stock height, I had to trim my fenders and flare (1" still not enough) I had to beat my pinch weld over (4lb did the trick)

Over all it was easy and not that bad, just be more prepared than I was and trim before going to mount your tires so you don't have to make a 76 point turn out the the stall in the shop.

In other talk, I think a TC +2 kit might be the next big mod, I would really like the extra travel and push the front wheels forward a bit. Also rear shackle flip and longer shocks.

I have 2.25" trimmed out of the fenders. That TC +2 kit is going to need closer to 4" trimmed.

35s without regearing isn't that bad? Do you plan on regearing eventually? I might go same route when I need new tires.

Fuck I just can't win, nah if I end up with LT I'll just skip the bullshit and go to fiberglass. I'm concerned with pushing the the tires away from the body mount so I don't have to cut mine back anymore

Yeah it was a rough ride home, I had my flares off too. I was going to raise my front end up a little but forgot my spanner lol

Not that bad and yes I do plan on regearing, but it's flat all around me so I don't have to worry much about big long hills on the highway. I would like to wait until I can get a deal/ afford a front locker.

So this happened today, neighbor was knocking on the door and I look out to this. Thankfully I was able to get the pod open and get everything out in time.

crap man, any idea how did it get started? hope no one got hurt or anything got damaged...
I'm also saving my pennies and waiting on a deal for gears/front locker.... i really wanted to jump on the last ECG GB but couldnt cough the $ for the OBA, Gears, and Lockers at the time so i just took advantage of the GB prices and grabbed the ARB CKMTA12 and the necessary air locker manifold kit to start statching parts...

I have no idea how it got started, but nothing was damaged but the pod and dump so its all good. Yeah I picked up all my air stuff so I'm in the same boat as you, but its one less thing to worry about once I get a locker.

I'm very good at skinny pedal'n when all fails lmao... front locker would have been nice in so many of those last-resort-skinny pedal'n moments....

Does the pod have some type of insurance or coverage for such events?
I'd be that guy that when asked if I want fire protection would say "gtfo I ain't need no fire protection" and then this shit would happen to me lol

Did you have any oil base paints and or glass debris in the dumpster?

Nope been with the 3.5 the whole time

So figured I would check CL since I haven't looked for anything lately and finally a short bed topper. Not exactly what I was looking for but it will do, it looks to have a reinforced roof (inside and t the top the fiberglass comes down about 1" more than the sides) So after I get the paint situation taken care of (its MGM right now) I will be getting some tracks for the roof and hopefully a matching rack for the cap :D
