Would be easier for swapping between vehicles but having to carry something that large isn't ideal, Its easy to carry all that bulky shit when you you've never wheeled outside of a single offroad park ;) :infantry:

It looks like on the portable just has the fuses connected to alligator clips, from there they wire the switch to the built in relay.

What you can do is buy a new harness from them and modify it so it works like you want. I could make one, but i can't find the grey housings they use. I have the terminals that go inside.

Thats what I was thinking, just wasn't sure. My relay failed in the past and the compressor ran non stop until I disconnected the power. So I guess if I just skip or unplug the relay it should just run

Yeah, it should. I'm just not sure if that little fan would still kick on or not.

I dont even have the grey housings like pictured. Its a white/clear ish plug, maybe because its a single vs dual?

Yeah, that the difference, the single is a lot easier to wire up.

cut that plug off and replace it with a weatherpack/deutsch style to make your own harness if you really wanted to

Ohhh, I didn't realize that it was the single. Disregard my sweet ass wiring diagram.

I've got a Viair 400P that I "semi-permanently" mounted. It can be pulled out easily and the old alligator clips connected if I need to use it stand alone.

Write up from my build thread.
