Be mindful of the end of the frame, But I "should" still gain a bunch over the HC bumper that I currently have.

Full aluminum, but who knows what it will weigh. A topper alone weighs a bunch, and the HC bumper isn't exactly light either so I'm sure it will be close

As of right now nothing is planned to be sold, Now after I'm more settled into this and happy with where I'm at then the whole ass end will be up for grabs. That might not come until next year but who knows, you wanting a color matched shell?

Our factory beds aren't the lightest even with the composite insert. Pull the insert, bedsides, tailgate, and bumper and you will see a significant reduction before adding weight back on with the tray.

Considering that many of us run a shell of some type already along with our day to day gear adding the canopy wouldn't be that much of a reach when you take it all to the scale. I already have All-Pro expo leafs that barely move with the weight of the FlipPac on them. If Chandler can sort out some type of quick release for his hard shell rtt - like L-track for example - he will most certainly have a hit. It may take some pictures, videos, and a bit of finger poking but I genuinely believe that trays and their canopies are where I'm going to end up on my Tacoma and others will want one as well. Imagine how big of a fuel cell you could fit if you ditched the factory bed. So many more options like this become an easy reach with a tray and canopy.

Man, I go back and forth. I'm kind of tired of the softopper and bed rack. I want to eventually build a sliding shelf for gear, but am not comfortable taking that step if I can't lock up my shit. Wish I would have visited your page more recently! Know you said you aren't ready to sell anything yet, but I just purchased a pelfreybilt rear bumper w swing

Damn the luck. We will need to make a flat nasty trip or something when it comes in then. I'll have to see the flatbed before I could decide to pull the trigger myself
Who needs a rear bumper? :bananadead:

Keep me in mind/in the loop for ordering additional units/pricing. I would love something like this. I want extra storage, hate the traditional rtts and want the tire out from under the truck without a swingout.

I'll be hitting the road in a month so i know it won't be available before i get on the road, but certainly would be up for adding it to the rig while I'm on the road.
