Ozark was nice, got some dirt miles in and went swimming in a couple different places. The water was really high from the rain and the current was really strong so I avoided the first two crossings after checking the depth. It was about 4ft deep and likely possible but the second crossing is about 1-2ft deeper so no way that was happening especially with a strong current. One of the water crossings I didn't even recognize because it's normally not even higher than the stones in the creek bed, but was about 2ft deep, crazy.

So got a chance to use my rock lights at camp and it was pretty nice having a lighted area around the truck, I wouldn't mind having some on the rack but I'll save that for the future

First night in the tent was a good night for testing. Went to bed easily but was woken to a nice heavy rain shower, I only had the mesh halfway zipped down so I quickly rolled down the fabric and zipped up the end windows. Not sure how long I slept through the rain but only a small amount came through where the ladder was up because the mesh wasn't zipped close so that was my fault. Putting the tent up was pretty easy, Even while raining

    Overall a good experience

Been working on the tent pricing and 90% certain on a $1500 price point plus shipping. I think the best case will be a flat fee for shipping and I will make it happen myself #chandlerdoomexpress

daaaayyuuuuummmm been a while since I checked in here. My goal with my truck since day one was to remove the bed and build my own custom rear end one day. I'm not even close to having the time, money, or space to do that yet, but one day! So it's sick to see you're going that route now!! Your truck is so BA and it's getting even better.

I wouldn't say I had the goal from day one but its been a while since I've wanted a flatbed with a camper to match. The camper will be a while, but the canopy will be fun to mess around with for a bit.

I am pretty excited for everything to finish up and start heading this way

Yeah you can use the ladder on either side but iirc the overhang is only on one side. I'll be honest that I only popped up the overhang once so I can't say for certain if it's able to be switched to the opposite side. But the ladder can be hung from either side

Possibly, I'll probably keep the thread open for people that are still interested and just wait until the cap is reached

So the early release RTT buy is done, which is awesome but means that all the little stuff I've been putting off needs to get done to make the truck tow worthy. Good thing I have some time because I've been putting this shit off for a while

So I need to get the transmission fluid changed out once again, this time with a larger cooler to help.

OEM brakes are reaching 90k miles and we're starting to be an issue this past trip with noticeable brake fade, normally I wouldn't worry just yet but towing a trailer from California might not be the smartest idea

That 7 pin wiring harness will finally need to be fixed from over 2 years ago. Along with adding a brake controller

And finally cutting the weight down off the rear end. So shell and bumper will both be coming off. Factory hitch will be mounted on.

I will have a total of 7 tents to bring back with me. So the plan is to mount my new one over the cab. 2 tents in the bed. 4 on the trailer along with my tray and canopy.

What cooler are you going with? I think I need to get a bigger one for mine. Here are my temps at idle on a hot day.
