It’s been awhile but I’m certain that we used 85w140 Lucas mineral as recommended by ECGS. Same as what we put in mine.

I haven’t done my case yet as I plan to “eventually” swap it out. I have the gear lube already but can’t recall what the weight is. I’ll report back once I get back to the shop.

I'm actually looking to do the same thing on my Pelfrey Aluminum currently...

    IMG_20191027_133245_MP.jpg

Trying to figure out my game plan still. Was hoping to source some hoops from the Pelfrey stock buyout.

I wonder if Jerry could source a current PB owner and come up with a template.

    that's an idea actually.

I did ask him if they had any hoops laying around, he said they did, but was unsure of what bumper they went to. It'd be nice to get it done before I slap it on, otherwise, I will have to install it, then have some hoops bent up while its on the truck.

@geekhouse23 so another question regarding adding hoops then... Best way to go about stripping and PC afterwards?

It would be awesome if there was a trick or method to only strip what was needed. I know PC after that and getting clean lines, etc would be tricky, but honestly.. I'd be ok with a slight mismatch, part line, etc if done cleanly.. it would definitely save time and money. But I'm totally just shootin in the dark on this.

Rust-Oleum flat black is what I used. Matches pretty damn well. The hoops were added on while the bumper was on the truck and the paint was sprayed after letting it cool. Cheap. Easy. 5 minutes. Done.

ACE hardware paint is less expensive and doesn’t spray in a pinpoint as their nozzles make a bit of a fan effect allowing you to more even coverage.
