Well heres how I finished up. I have drill tomorrow :frusty: So the fairing portion had to be postponed until tomorrow, Oddly enough it still throws a good amount of light. I almost thought for a second I could just get away with it like this for a bit but I already bought the plexiglass and cut down, so I have to finish it up

Hopefully we get lots of snow tomorrow, doubt it but one can hope

Is it just mounted to your second cross bar that is usually behind the wind deflector? Looks good! Pick up my rigid 40" tomorrow

Yup not how I originally planned but I put the feet on and bolted up to the T slots on the bar, so that was nice not having to drill through the cross bar to mount. I still need to clean up everything, the bar the light is mounted to only has one bolt and pressure to keep it in place. So tomorrow ill get the light where I want it and start on the fairing. Still have to get the waterproof connectors as well

Oh gotcha. Thats how im going to mount my light, with the T slots. Im really hoping there is enough room to run the wiring harness down the side of my windshield... REALLY don't want to have to drill through my roof..

I just ran the wire down and used electrical tape (super88 of whatever the good shit is called) to keep it in place, little bit of a pain to make it look nice (i need to re do mine) But I wouldn't see why you couldn't do the same

Depends on the wiring harness's thickness. I think Rigid lights have a really short wire coming straight off the light, versus others that are longer.

Hmm on the harness I had I don't remember it being super thick or anything, I'm gonna say you should be okay. But if you do deicide to just go through the roof

Thats a pretty solid connector, detush also makes passthrough connectors

Haven't got around to the deflector yet, it got pretty cold and everything iced over. No pictures but a females husband in my unit got stuck after dropping her off asking if someone could help out, her newborn was in the car so I offered help. So I spent majority of the time trying to get my box open where I had my D rings and strap and the negative degrees suggested that I wasn't going to get my locks open since they freezed, I used my multitool to hammer the key in and tried to turn it with the pliers and broke the key in half....great. So I figured ill just swap out the thimble for the hood thats under my rear seat, can't find my snap ring pliers to remove the thimble hah. So I finally notice a old strap with a broken loop on one side that was buried under my tool bar, but only after breaking my tailgate handle.... Well finally I was able to get his car back on the road after much wasted time and stabbing myself with a screwdriver.

So I guess the moral of the story is I needed to open my eyes because I had a complete ARB recovery kit in the bed...Doh :frusty:

Hopefully it comes in the form of vision, But really want to winch his car vs yanking it. I usually don't care to pull out stuck people because usually they don't have solid recovery points that are meant to be used, and you always risk damaging their car and your stuff. He was pinned on a wide curb so the treds wouldn't have been much good
