Didn't plan on doing much today but I figured id try de beading a wheel so I could throw in some airsoft pellets to balance out the tires better, walmart didn't have any pellets so I figured I would just clean out the truck instead.

So I found water under my passenger side floor mat, wasn't sure how the water get there so I started tearing the interior apart to lift up the carpet to get a better look. I checked my AC line and looked fine, maybe it froze and some ran into the cab. But the one grommet was pretty wet so I felt like that was the culprit. Hopefully it doesn't continue.

While taking everything apart I thought about the blue seas bus port that I bought and planned using, I don't have much use for 12v so I planned on replacing one of the 12v with the blue sea. The size seemed close enough to be doable. Getting the trim piece was a pita, and removing the 12v wasn't fun either. The size was very close, but had some minor clearance work to get done with the dremel. Even with the cutout enlarged the 12v can still go back in and look factory. Im not sure how I plan on wiring it together, I want to use the 12v connector for the blue seat but I have to make a quick connect extension to make that happen. Im not sure the 12v will be enough power for the blue sea either :help:

Well it got dark so I decided to leave the interior as is and call it a night, and after leaving work called saying I've been mandatory recalled back to work :frusty:

What were you going to try to debead with? I tried using my motorcycle spoons but couldnt get any leverage against the tires. The sidewall would just squish in. Also tried running over a tire with the truck, that didnt work either, haha.

Hi-lift and some jumping should do the trick

Interesting idea. the high lift will probide enough force on the sidewalls that itll pull the bead too? Or did you see that done somewhere?

Be nice to just pull the tires off and remount (the easy part) with some beads thrown in. Save quite a bit of money

I've watched a couple of YouTube videos haha. I'm gonna try a different store for air soft pellets so I'll let you know how it goes

Good luck. I already have some pellets sitting in my garage from a long time ago. Id just have to buy a hi-lift which ive been meaning to do anyways.

Ill be watching to see i you can do it.

While I have my entire center console and lower dash apart I took a look at my spod harness. Its made for having switches on the dash in different areas, hence the extra leads. So having all my switches in one spot makes it difficult having all the wiring going through the lower cubby. First time using a soldering gun, I think I need a better one like the pen type not the gun type. Lets just say I'm not good with soldering at all, but I made some progress until the gun started melting...

I think I may order a new connector and re wire the harness. Even this way it has a bunch of bulk. Anyone know how to wire a rocker that has a lower independent into dash lights. So the text lights up with the dash lights but when thrown the symbol light is lit up. Do I just tap into a power that goes to a dash light?

I dont have the tires yet or my suspension to clear them. Otherwise itd be an offer id take.

Im surprised walmart didnt have any. Are you sure you looked for the correct thing? Ive never seen a walmart out of stock for airsoft.
This should be enough to do five 35s.

It should be that easy. Those small leds shouldnt draw enough current to require adding a relay circuit in.

Yeah thats what I was looking for but they didn't have any airsoft guns at all, only BB :der:

Sounds good enough, looking at the new switches now. About $120ish to get the different switches with faces

Just trying to get on you DIY level

Tap into your AC control lights. I don't know the color wires offhand but that's what mine are tapped in to. They'll come on with your dash lights and the top light will come on when you click the switch on.

Yeah its a hefty price especially when I already have 6 switches and faces. But they only have 1 led and faces are the super generic ones, Id like it to look more refined. Maybe I should sell some of my switches to make up some of the cost
