Im assuming so, since the truck they came off was a 05-11. But I think the only difference is the front bumper fill pieces between the 12+ trucks. I need to buy some replacement hardware so I can start drilling holes for them and actually get them mounted

My suspension is making a ton of noises now, I think this week ill be cleaning/ re lubing everything :bananadead:

Hahaha its the UCA uniballs, but the bushings need to be re greased. The dakar probably need attention too

I do want new coilovers but I can wait until I am ready for something better than standard length arms, might be swapping for 700b coils for the mean time

So like within the past couple of days I've been having issues with my phone playing music through either usb or bluetooth. So sometimes (in the past) it won't show up when connected through usb (as if nothing was connected) but would still show up on bluetooth (would play music/ won't charge, usually restarting the truck would fix it) Now I'm getting that it will show up that its connected (usb) music will play but no volume (I can turn it up but nothing will come out of the speakers) So ill switch over to bluetooth thinking that its just not recognizing the usb but still no music. Even when disconnected from usb I will won't get music from bluetooth. Earlier today it played normally through usb but after stopping for gas and turning the truck back on it went back to its way.

So I've never updated the radio and figured maybe that could help but I can't seem to get the radio to start the update.

Ive reformatted the USB, renamed it to 14A, put the SWDL file onto the usb, but when I plug it in nothing happens. I even tried going into the system update but doesn't allow me to press the update button. 14 entune plus non nav

I need to pick up transmission fluid at the dealer but I'm sure if I ask about the update they will likely want to charge me for it.

Can you have the phone and the radio forget each other - delete the Bluetooth connection - and reconnect it as a new device?

They shouldn't charge you? I'd try at least.

Are you sure your Bluetooth volume on the phone isn't getting turned down? Mine has done that before.

Good point, the FM radio, XM radio, and Apple CarPlay on my head unit all have separate volume settings which confused me at first. I found that I had to adjust each while using that specific feature.

    Worth a try

Yeah I'll ask, hopefully they are cool but I've never gone to the dealer here. My phone volume has never interfered with the radio volume. Once it's connected the radio takes control.

I guess I should try with my old 6plus to see if I get the same issues, maybe phone software related

Yes the radio does. But you can also turn the volume down on the phone (Bluetooth volume) and it won't have sound but play.

You have the same radio as me? if so whats your software info, like the audio/audio system/dsp module/sub/can. and have you ever tried updating it yourself https://securedp.toyota.com/download-app/toyotaHeadUnits

Waiting on my other phone to come back to life and I'm gonna try checking the volume (although unlikely because it worked just fine and without me touching the phone it stopped working after starting the truck back up) But maybe forgetting my phone and re linking it will work

Entune plus right? That's what I have.

No I haven't tried updating. Mine will turn off/restart but it's far and few between

Ive never had the restart, yet lol. So I went out and tried the software update again and actually got the update button to turn on but it said check the USB so still no dice. But I un paired both of my phones and before pairing them back I tried the usb cable and my phone that I'm using now (6s) worked just fine, but my 6 plus wouldn't do anything (blank screen) So I tried the 6s again to make sure its still working, all was good but still no 6 plus :notsure:

But I paired the phones 6 plus first and it worked just fine :der: And the 6s worked as well, I went back and forth between unplugging it, switching between bluetooth/usb, and turning the radio/truck off to mark sure everything would work just fine. And everything works (besides 6plus w/ usb) so I'm just gonna go with re pairing the phone did the job but still wtf

Changed my oil and transmission fluid today, followed @Crom using the chemical sprayer. Didnt even crack open the fill or drain only the over flow.

Pretty straight forward if you have the aux transmission cooler, disconnect both top and bottom. Attach your sprayer with 3/8 tubing into the top port and the bottom port is your drain into a bucket. Turn the truck on and you'll notice a good stream of trans fluid coming into your bucket, don't be me and leave the hose unattended have something keep the hose in the bucket other wise the fluid goes everywhere like what happened to me. So after draining 2 qts (it drains fast) use your sprayer to throw 2 qts back in (or whatever came out) I repeated the process a handful of times and used 3 gallons, wish I would have used 4. But I got a good difference of color out of it so I'm still happy, But after about 3-4 trail fill you'll notice it gets cleaner, and after seeing what came out of mine I don't like I would ever want to just drain and fill instead of flush it all out.

So after flushing and having about 2 qts left just in case I did fluid check/over flow plug. I didn't bother with the wire jumping on the OBII plug, I just used my scan gauge instead. After letting it idle for a while my trans temp came up to 113/115 and stayed so I was confident that all was good to check. At first I got nothing dripping out, So I sprayed in another 1 qt, re did the idle and made sure all was good to check and still nothing. At this point I was like fuck, but I sprayed in the rest of my 1 qt that I had and finally got 1/2 to pour out :bananadance:

All in all it was a super easy process and the next time I give it a try it shouldnt take long at all

And too easy, yeah Soon as the hose jumped out of the bucket and started going every where all I could think is fuck fuck fuck. I was more concerned about not knowing how much fluid I pumped out tho.

Next weekend? I thought it was april?
