16" matte gun metal SR8's. Now my only debate is 315 MT/Rs or Duratracs.

Main reason I don't say DD MTR's is because they wear pretty quick and are more expensive. That and noise but if you don't mind those then go for it

I'm currently DD on MTRs and I got 40k out of them. Had them before and got the same, so anyone who says they wear fast isn't taking care of them or had the wrong load rating. I was considering switching it up, but I found 315 MTRs for a good price through tire rack.com

Was just looking at that tire on tire rack. Just over 300 a tire. Best deal yet for that tire

Plus the rebate makes it basically 285 per tire.

Look on discount tire on eBay. That's where I buy all my tires and they price match also. They'll be at your door in 3 days or less also. My 37's are coming from there.

Wow, didn't even think about tire rack. $340 a tire for 37" MTRs. But $500 shipping!? That's outrageous.

Guess it depends on what you do. If you can keep both wheels on the ground longer you maintain traction so why not go with a more "road friendly" tire. Don't necessarily need an aggressive tire to make up for the lack of traction when a wheel comes up although sure it's always going to be easier.

That said I also have to drive a minimum of 2 hours if I want to hit one park. Any others are 4+. Lots of highway driving.

Yup my truck is sitting at 74k miles and about only 10k of those miles were on stock tires, everything else on MTs. At the 2yr mark I hit 70k, but now the wife drives it for school so it doesn't see anymore than 10miles a day.

So next next week your tires are coming? What did you end up with

See that's where sites that advertise lower prices get you, shipping. Discount tire and other places are free shipping on top of a already good priced tire

You'll have to post some measurements and tread depth when you get them. Not a bunch of info out on them especially in that size
