I ordered a 2021 SR5 one week ago. The truck had been allocated to my dealer with an estimated delivery date if 8/31 (2.5 weeks). At that time only accessories added were the carpet floor mats and rear usb charging.

I checked the listing on the dealer’s website today and it’s now showing All Weather Mats instead of carpet. I’m excited about this since I’d rather have the All Weather Mats.

Is it normal for such a change to occur after allocation or is this some type of fluke?

There’s a pretty good chance that the dealership had already requested that allocation a while back and that’s what it comes with. You can check the date on Toyota’s website with a VIN and see when the truck ordered through regional. If it doesn’t say 08/2021 then it wasn’t allocated that fast and they had already had it coming.

Right, they already had it allocated to them in July. I came around in August and reserved it.
I’m questioning, why did the floor mats change, is that normal?

The dealer is planning to swap out the mats themselves after delivery. It was already allocated with all weather mats.
If you do want the all weather mats, let your salesman know.

If you are in the SE or Gulf states zones, or that's where the truck is moving from, check everything.

They like to do things their way, and it may or may not be what you expect.....

Thanks everybody. My preference is the all weathers.

When the dealership showed me the spec sheet when ordering it was showing carpet mats. And, the past couple times I’ve checked their listing it showed carpet.

But today, it’s suddenly shifted to the all weathers. Since my delivery is so close, maybe I’m lucky and the distributor, Southeast Toyota, ran out of carpet mats or something. I’m hoping I’m lucky and the all weathers stay!

They warn you not to stack floor mats (the studs on the floor aren't long enough to secure both layers). I don't care. I have carpeted floor mats and then the all-weather ones on top of them. Never had a problem. This does a good job of muting road noise.

Capture the URL into a word-doc, and copy/paste the entire listing to the word doc. Then screen shot the info as well.

Local dealer had a SR5 that listed bed lights, bed mat, and bed step as part of the package when I test drove it I saw none
of those items on it. When I inquired, with the print out in hand, the sales dude looked like a deer in the headlights.

The all weather floor mats by the dealer aren't a deal breaker and aren't that great, but if you really want 'em, you should
have that info with you at the end of the deal. I like the WeatherTechs myself.
