So I changed my head gasket this weekend, started Friday and finished Sunday and now it doesnt want to start. It turns over strong but just wont fire. I'm fairly certain the timing is right, the dots are lined up on the back of the cam gears when cylinder 1 is TDC, all the electrical plugs are connected. Any ideas?

double check the ground connections at the coil bracket(if equipped) and under the data link connector.

Dot you have an anti theft system on it? Usually after the battery has been disconnected for a while the anti theft will keep the engine from firing.

Is there any reason why they could have gone bad? Or any way to check?

If your truck was firing right up before hand I would assume they are still good now. Just double check their connection to the engine harness. Also, check all your grounds. Back of the block to the fire wall, battery to block, and battery to fender.

Most bizarre one for me, one time was doing big engine work and after getting it all buttoned up I had same thing, crank and crank but never fire up. After going through my work for an hour or two I was about to give up and thought I better check fuses. A couple of weird ECU type or something like that fuses had opened up. No idea why either, but just replaced em and fired right up. It's at least worth taking a peek

Yep! Those things can happen. Just gotta got through all your standard trouble shooting. Also, not sure how many times you tried to turn it over but you may need to crank it more than you think in order to get the fuel back in the lines.

That's half way what I was thinking but didn't want to further mess anything up.. I cranked it about 2 dozen times

2 dozen should’ve easily gotten the fuel up there. How old is the fuel pump?

You need to start with the basics if nothing obvious. Check for spark first then fuel. If those are solid, timing or sensors.

Was it a denso or did you go cheap? I’ve had a cheap one go bad after a year. Pull the fuel line and see if it pumps when you turn it over. If it does, move on to spark. Pull one of the wires on the drivers side and see if you can get spark between the wire and a screw driver. Also double check your plug wiring order. Make sure the jumper wires on the passenger side coil packs are going to the correct plug on the driver side. Air intake channels... did you stuff anything into the intake manifold to keep stuff from falling in and forget to take it out?

I don't think it's a fuel issue, tried cranking it when I got home, still the same and I pulled the spark plugs and they had some fuel on them.. also i replaced all 4 plugs and still nothing
