NO MODS YET! 20" Enkeis with NT420 performance tires coming soon...inspired by genxer36.
    Krazie Sj,

    Ok good argument.

Can you explain? Because I always thought the only benefit to brake drums is that it is reduces production cost for the company. Which is fine, but the disadvantage to the consumer is that they now have to service their front braking more often.

True. the electronic motors that power these things adds more wieght.

The engine doesn't bother me either, but Toyota could at least try to reduce engine noise.

This is my first toyota ever! I think Toyota made a great truck. They made it cheap, but they compensated the consumer with a great ride, performance, and reliability. If it were up to the big three, they'd just make it cheap....lol

    • Moon Roof - Don't care - I'd rather get aftermarket and get it installed where I wanted. +1
    • Heated Seats - Don't care +1
    • Automatic folding rear view mirros - "I'm not lazy" - +2
    • Rear Sliding window - Don't care.
    • Some basic kind of electric rear/front window defroster - Never needed it for the rears. +1 Never found some ice the heater couldn't melt.

    - Electric full-opening rear window like the Tundra
    - Rear window defroster (I had one on my Frontier, VERY convenient)
    - 4WD tranny set up like my FJ Cruiser with A-Trac and the REAL 4WD shifter, not the air conditioning knob of a 4WD switch we have now - this also has a neutral gear...
    - Fog light mod OEM
    - MORE power outlets! Especially in the back of a DC!
    - Cargo light w/ 3rd brake light
    - AUX audio input jacks standard across the board

I don't think Toyota made these trucks cheap at all, have you looked under any of Tacoma's competition? The parts Toyota uses are high quality, durable pieces. Drum brakes are fine IMO for a truck this size, unladen rear brakes have little effect anyway. Plus the main reason I think Toyota still uses drums is the park brake. On rear disk brakes they have shitty park brakes that need constant maintenance to work properly, the only advantage I give to rear disks would be hauling heavy loads, or four wheeling, drums aren't the best in the mud or backing down steep grades.

    oil change...
    -rear cargo light
    -factory projectors with HID's
-white or even blue dash lights. the orange is very tacky. or go the 08 mustang route and make it to where you can change to any color you want.
-A better suspension package for the offroad package. i.e TC UCA's, toytec coilovers at a minimum

Yeah I get that alot on this stupid forum. Maybe you children can't read but the thread topic is about improvements/accessories on the tacoma. Not about about attacking other members.

But hey, there ain't a prayer in the world that can help some peple on the trail or in a blizzard. So it doesn't matter what they drive.

How about a front LOCKER or atleast a limited slip in the front, replace the 400 watt converter with one that is actually usefull, maybe 1500 watts or better and how about a rear heater like the one in my 85 4runner, my kids feet get cold when we are out wheelin in the snow. Just my .02 cents worth.:D

Extra weight over the rear axle, won't lock up the rear like a disk brake will bunch of other stuff. Not sure which thread it was in, but it made a lot of sense. Realistically, I've never had a problem with my brakes cept that they have ABS and I hate ABS.

I came from a 91 Corolla. My Tacoma (Relatively) is much quieter by comparison. If I trom the pedal it'll roar louder than my Corolla could squeal.

But cabin noise is fairly mute as far as I'm concerned.

Besides, extra sound proofing = Extra useless weight that = Crappy gas mileage.
