Changes noticed on the new Tacoma pictures.

I like the d ring looking thing too in the back. hmmm. very interesting.

 

I see a handle e brake and nicer shifter
better shaped dash.

Looks nice. Love the brown two tone. And auto dimming mirror is back it looks like. Wish the back window went down like the Tundra and 4Runner. Id love to have all 5 windows down and sunroof open.

 

I still can't believe no one has done the rear back window mod to make it slide up and down.

 

damn it it may still be ugly as fuck, but all the neat things Im starting to see and that interior, not gonna trade in my perfectly fine 2015 but damn it 2016

 

I know, right? I keep seeing past the fugly to what it COULD be and then I'm like, DAMMIT I already have LT and SC waiting for a second gen. FFS!

 

I loved the roll down window in my 4Runner. Open the sunroof and crack the back glass for perfect airflow. Sunroof is confirmed for the Limited at least.

I can't wait to get another one (or a used Land Cruiser or Taco). I need another Toyota truck in my garage!

 

The only thing I don't like is there's no oh shit handle by the window. I use that every time I get in. The rest looks pretty nice. Hopefully the trd seats have some nice style also.

 

Allt of work...I was looking into using the frame and window from an 05-06 double cab tundra because the size was really close to our cab but I went with the lt route and didn't wanna want to figure how to clamp down the rear seats and have parts I installed in breaking later lol

 

Ah. Well, that solves thar dilemma for me lol

 

The rear seats was my problem with how to home them down...you know how much they latch to the back

Meh. I'm already over it lol.if I was gonna do anything, I'd just try to widen the rear slider and shorten the two side windows, just for more airflow out the back.

 

your truck is sick, id keep it. i just have a stock 2015 thats gonna look crummy next to the new 2016s in a year. oh well, i know its reliable and i know how to work on it.

 

I kinda agree there. Just because it's the same frame and a couple components are the same, doesn't mean it's the same gen. Why fix what ain't broke? Rust issues? maybe they threw on some better paint this time around. A whole new body and drive train is definitely a new generation. That 2012-2015 crap was just a face lift and I wouldn't even call it a 2.5. .

 

I do like my truck, but I'm returning to stock to trade in for a new 4x4. I'm all talk though, I'm most likely getting a 2012-2015..depending on what I can find within 100 miles. In a few years I'll start researching 2nd Gen to 3rd Gen conversions

 

If you can wait till the 2016's start showing up you should be able to get a good deal on a 2015. But something tells me toyota will try to sell every 2015 or close too before the 2016s start hitting dealers.

 

Yea I'll be in the market in a couple months, so I'm just gonna keep my eyes open...pretty sure toyota will do a 0% apr or something close to it to get rid of the 2nd gens quickly to make way for the third gens...then I can pounce
