When battery is disconnected does the OB computer loose the code for the radio to work?

Nope, you may loose your preset radio stations. Hondas' have a dedicated radio code.

In order to keep your presets, hook up a 9v battery to your cables while swapping, or a trickle charger, if you have one. If a keyed version, you can plug it into the cig. lighter with the key on. Lighter shuts off with the key.

    No radio code.

You don't lose radio station presets either.

The only thing you lose are your last-used climate control settings and mirror compass zone presets.

Just disconnect it, the radio saves presets.

Big thing, dont start it after reconnecting, turn the truck to on (2 button presses on the start button if you have it), let the radio boot and systems start. After the radio boots, then start the truck.

This usually allows the throttle to learn its shut position and prevents issues with idle as well.

Replaced my battery and drove away. Absolutely nothing changed, nothing lost!

You will most likely see an unusually high estimated range your first fuel tank after you change and several after as I believe the memory or trip cache is cleared but your Taco will re-learn range and the number will come back down to what you usually see.

    Is radio still a thing?
I kinda liken the 'radio' to calendars, and their days are numbered.
