Out of curiosity, is it only 4oz of friction modifier needed? My stealership tried to sell me 2 bottles (8oz total) of the additive...

4oz is whats called for, but I have seen times when a little more is needed.

I am pretty sure Those of us who end up with synthetic oil, all had to use 8 oz of additive. So most likely dealers 8 oz is pretty correct. Even more Since it turns out that my dealer uses pre-mixed oil with additive then drop another 4 oz of additive on the top of premix. Most likely due to number of clutches we have
If you going with regular oil then 4 oz like Chris said is enough, he is been using 4oz for some time. But if you goign wth synthethic you need 8 oz. Dont ask why the difference I have no clue :D

I know, I tried too. For some reason GM additive works noproblem with synthetics. If you want, give a try next change.
Mobil Delvac and two bottles of GM additive

I did it again. Got tired of paying truck payments and gas and traded in for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport since I enjoyed my 2013 Sport so much.

Thank you for your interest in our products. The two products SL2411and 402508 are different formulas but both work and perform in the same manner. The SL2411 is 4 oz the 402508 is 7 oz. Both will treat a gallon of gear oil. Please let me know if you have additional questions or concerns

Hello everyone!! My first post so be gentle. I have purchased the same 7 ounce additive as listed above. If according to the company this and the four ounce bottle also listed above will both treat one gallon. Aren't you guys over dosing it? I was just going to add three quarters of the 7 ounce stuff. This site rocks. Thanks in advance for putting up with my analness about my baby. It says on the additive bottle to add the entire thing.;)

    Welcome :)
Add what the bottle tells ya to start with. Most of the addatives I have used, say (for example a 4oz tibe) "treats 3 quarts", or the like.

Thanks Chris.Wow!!! that was fast.:D I was just worried about adding another 7ounces to what my owners manual says should be in there. It doesn't mention anything about additive. My dealer was clueless. I am going to give this a whirl tomorrow. Thanks for your great pics and your patience with all the questions. I will post some pics of my ride for you guys.
