    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    75-140 is a more "heavy duty" weight. Mostly for hotter climates, but many folks use it with out issue.

    Chris, I live in Louisiana at the moment but will likely me moving to Pacific Northwest in the next 6 months. Is it okay to keep the 140 in there or should I change it out once I move to the colder climate? Also, since I have the 4x4, should I use the Oil with LSD added?

    need a hand as well. I'm getting ready to do my 30k service- converting to Mobil 1 oil & i'd like to go synthetic on all fluids. read a ton of posts, but i'm still not sure what to use on the front & rear differentials? Mobil 1 as well? i have a 2010 DC 4x4 TRD Sport w/ auto LSD if it matters.

    Just finished my 30,000 mile service- couldn't have done it without this and other TW forums. Thought i'd pass along a helpful tool that i made from random parts in the garage. Made putting in the gear oil much faster & easier.

    Took an old hose & cut it down to 6ft or so. Inserted a 3/8in threaded pipe into the cut end of the hose & secured it with a hose clamp.

    It screws directly into the rear differential fill hole- same thread pattern.

    cut the bottom off a 1 QT bottle of Mobil 1 & screwed onto the other end of the hose.

    I pulled the hose through the wheel well and strapped the M1 bottle to my ladder rack & viola! fast & easy.

    That's the one downside. i knew it took 3 quarts- just added all 3, let it sit for a while & then unscrewed the hose and checked the level visually with a flashlight.

    I was planning changing my rear differential oil with Mobil 1 is that a good choice or would Redline or Royal Purple be better? I know it's a preference, but do the experts here on the forum suggest and also would I need to add the lsd additive, if so how much (ounces)? Thanks
