Projectors do not like to be turned on and off, so if they are wired to turn off with your dims, you will be burning out bulbs constantly.

The last time I checked, they are not cheap.

You will need an a lot of room in the fog light to house the internals of a projector.

I'm not saying it cant be done, I've seen it done on a Dodge truck forum using the E55 projector IIRC.

    Hope this helps :)

Our fog lights have plenty of room for a retrofit. It is not the projector being put through stress, but the HID capsules and ballasts. But, that is the same stress headlight projectors go through.

Won't be cheap having profession retrofitting jobs is expensive. At least for headlights naturally it shouldn't be as bad for the fogs. Alot of cars have projector fog lights. My 07 Impala SS has them.

honestly dont really see the point. you wont be able to fit an quality projectors in there. just put them in the headlights, you'll get much better results in my opnion.

I was also looking into this. It can be done but not sure how it would look with such a small projector in our large fog light housing. Another thing to consider is how to mount the projector and be able to align it properly. I've been told that a reflector based fog light would produce better output then projector. Tacoma's that have the plastic no fog inserts also could be used to mount your projector.

reflector fog better than a projector huh...sounds fishy to me, but whatever...

also, do you know how those black inserts mount? i do, and they have so much slop that if you mount a projector to them, your lights will rattle so much you'll look like one of those ricers w/ a headlight dangling front the front of their half primed, multi-colored clown mobiles!!

^ all my personal opinion, do what you want.
