I never said a Pro was more expensive to repair, however it is more expensive off that bat. That's where I was going with it.

They are Tyger Star Armor. They are relatively inexpensive, very weighty and solid.

There're running board not sliders, correct?

Yup. Check out the mounting points. While the step itself looks heavily built those mounting points aren't going to hold up if you use them as sliders:

Yep, their site didn't agree with my iPad so I never actually found them. I will say they look good though. Just not something I would be interested in.

you might want to remember that after all your add ons you're not far off the price of a pro after taxes for your original OR.
My OR was around 50 800, OR, block heater, tonneau, bed mat, tub mats and a few other little things
Pro will be 53k + tax and thats if they don't mark it up.

I was in the same boat as you when I placed my order and then thought about it, wasn't worth it.
You'll be getting a Pro which yes is cool, but it won't have your tonneau. so thats another what 1600 here? (i'm in canada too)

If you plan on keeping the vehicle stock maybe the Pro is worth it.
But to me pro is pointless since the biggest plus side you get with it is the Fox suspension but not enough lift for me and I would be changing it. So really i'd only be buying it for looks. But for someone like me who will be doing a lot of overlanding with it, the pro is a lot of money for something to only look good while overlanding and not actually perform good (since it doesn't have enough lift for my liking nor sufficient armour)

Given I've priced out much of the parts for mine (fox ultimate suspension with dakars) and all the armour (including winch bumper) + wheels, haven't added in tires yet though, I'm actually pretty much right on what a Pro would've cost me after tax and I'm pretty sure my OR will be a hell of a lot more capable than the Pro is from factory.

Even more so if its not the colour you want, you might just end up kicking yourself about that later down the road

...the cement color is one of the only reasons I'd buy a pro lol

I wonder would a pro be higher on insurance vs an OR because of exclusiveness?

Ok guys I will let the cat out on the bag...... I have thought a lot about the Pro vs the off road. It all came down to what is my end goal. I love the the Pro it's a great looking little truck but in the end it's not worth the money for me. So I went with the off road. It's my color and still a vary capable truck also. I did cut out the rims and tires for now and the bug deflector. So that brought my price down. I am still getting pro grill, roof rack and bed cover. The cover and pro grill are on order. Monday at 12:00 I get the truck. The pic is a before shot :).
