In my case oil seems to flow too fast and I do not have as much control, if I use handle to tilt the 5 qrt. jug.
I start by holding the jug flat, with both hands, and switch to the handle, ie regular pour position, after jug is half empty.

My Hyundai Veracruz had valvetrain parts right against the oil opening, so I had to pour oil really slowly, to give it a chance to flow past the valvetrain and down to the oil pan. Pouring sideways was the way to do it.

No money, all went to truck...
the BEST funnel WAS a single quart bottle with the bottom cut off. I say WAS because in the 2nd gen the bottle could screw into the oil opening and be secure enough to work perfectly. Just dump oil into the bottom of the bottle and it would fill super fast.

In the 3rd gen, the bottle won't screw in as well. So no longer the best funnel. Darn.
