1-10, how hard is it to change out a leaking AC condenser? I am a bit handy, changing oil, swapping our bad radiator hoses., plugs, etc. Should I give it a go?

Not hard but you need proper equipment to evacuate, vacuum, and recharge the A/C system.

It’s about a 3 hour job but as stated you need a proper tools for it. I’d recommend new seal kit too for the orings

I did mine a few years ago. It was not difficult. Get some new gaskets for the AC lines.
I bought the Napa brand and had to fabricate the upper mounting. I should have bought Denso.
I had remove the grill and the radiator bolts.

Like others have said, it's not difficult. We did a new compressor and condenser in my son's car a few years back. I bought a Harbor Freight vacuum pump to pump down the system. I've only used it that one time but for the $ you save doing it yourself, you'll more than pay for the pump. Maybe someone has a pump you can borrow. You need to pump the system down once you get it all sealed up, before you charge it.

You can borrow the pump and gauges from Auto Zone.
