So I originally ordered a set of the Volk TE37x progressive model wheels in black, get a call from ICBMotorsport saying they actually sold the black set they had to someone else and only have bronze left in the -20 offset. Originally I was thinking okay just refund my money and I’ll buy somewhere else but apparently no one has these wheels in the states and won’t have them until Feb next year  . I decided to just take the bronze set left thinking okay I’ll just get them powder coated no big deal. But after receiving them I realized the “Volk Racing” logo is actually lightly engraved into the spoke of the wheel almost like a vin stamp in a motorcycle frame. So my worry is if I powder coat these it’s gonna be a thick coat and ruin the logo. Does any have any ideas or alternatives? I was thinking of a way to make a stencil to preserve the engraving before having it coated but cannot come up with anything..

Volks are high $ wheels highly favored by the auto-x crowd, particularly the street class. They are very strong and light.

But of course you know all that.

Problem is (to me) they are such a refined wheel it seems to make more sense to get the wheels you want rather than messing with new ones.

Maybe run them as is? Everyone has black. Not everyone has bronze.

Or see about returning them for a refund and wait till the set you want is available.

I am not a powdercoater, but wonder if the engraving can be filled with wax prior to costing to keep it protected.

What color is your truck? Honestly I’d run the bronze as is and I’m sure it’ll look great.

If I could afford Volks I’d love a set of bronzes for my spruce mica!

Don't powdercoat them, they will lose a lot of value if you do that. These things are works of art.

agree with this. if you like those you can get a cheaper knock off version in FN Six Shooters in whatever color and paint, powder, or whatever you want to do. i'd pony up the $900 or whatever for those to play with before ruining those Volks. just my opinion.

I already look at those but they don’t have the -20 offset that I’m aware of , I wanted the deeper lip .

This is how it would look on cement . I’d much rather have flat black

Well you like what you like so I guess sell them privately and go buy something different or wait for another black set of Volks to come up.

Maybe post them around and someone may be interested in a trade. I'm sure someone was in the same boat as you and had to get black

I think you guys are right though I’m hesitant to powder coat these.. unfortunately there is not a single set of -20 in the states for 6 months. So I’m just going to try and get a refund on the set and ship them back and go a different route. I may not have any luck with getting a refund so if anyone is interested in a brand new set just let me know before they go up on eBay lol.
