Is there a way to do this without wrapping it? I've been looking at the inserts for the scoop but they don't cover the entire top of it. Does anyone make a something that goes over top of the existing scoop or can you just replace the entire thing? Thanks!

I guess I should have clarified that I'm just interested in the bulge. Boy that's something that I never thought that I'd say :)

It's easy to pop off and just paint.

rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.
What type of "paint" would just peel off when wanted to go back to original?

Does plasti-dip peel off a painted surface? Perhaps a waxed undercoat?. I wouldn't mind redoing the "anti-glare blacking" every other year or so.

Plastidip works fine on the scoop. Mine is wrapped at the moment, but I have had a dipped scoop before. I would say a good multi-layer dip on the scoop would last you 6 months or so. Maybe longer. Not 2 years though.
