I changed mine to 4 blinks using techstream when I programmed my Lexus card key. I love this feature

Is there written documentation on how to make this change by the dealer?

The next time I take it in for service and the service writer tells me that the dealer is not able to change this feature, I want to hand him the instructions as written by Toyota...

Of course this is the same service rep who told me that there was never a TSA for the transmission mapping update or the LCA plugs. After handing both of those documents to him one would think that he would stop questioning me about shit like this...

I prefer to click the signa on and off, so I would prefer the soft touch to not even be there. The only I have ended up signalling that way is if I changed my mind midway, and ended up just tapping it unintentionally.

I came across this awhile back, printed it out and took it to my dealer. Be aware though that some of these features are not programmable on all models. For example I wanted all the power windows to be set to auto down and auto up. The tech said only the driver window could be programmed. I did get the turn signal set to 6 blinks.

I hate the soft touch function, so I had someone with techstream set it to zero

Bro signal user checking in. Even 1 is too much. On my older cars with a conventional electrical circuit to the blnkers I can even control it down to a fraction of a blink.
I turned off my 3 blinks with techstream cable. Cheap to buy on Amazon.

On my 16 SR5 only the drivers window had auto but my 17 TRDOR has auto on both front windows. So idk if it's at year model thing or SR5 vs. TRDOR. I was happy they are programable, I used TechStream to disable all the auto window stuff, disabled the seat belt warning and changed the lane change signals to 6.

Not sure about the US. But in Canada during your first service. You can get the dealer to set up options like the signal flashes for free. The dealer can print off some pages with all the options that they can change for you.
You can set the flashes from 0-7.
