    Its the gasket that goes under the lower edge of the AC intake cover/cowl.

    It seals between it and the top portion of the hood.

    Is that the factory boot painted black, or did you buy the one from eBay? Did you use gloss on the rest of the console?

    That's the factory boot dyed black. First coat was gloss (cause I had some left over) and the ensuing two or three were flat black.

    The center console/cup holder and boot trim were all done with gloss black. It's a bit glossy for me truthfully. I'd rather have it be flat. But ease of cleaning up is nice. I just keep a microfiber cloth in my truck and wipe it down every few days. Fingerprints, dust, etc... wipe off easily and it looks spanking new.

    the shifter knobs just screw off.

    And if your truck is a manual trans and manual transfer case, that boot should work
