If your use case is to charge your Ecoflow batteries (ex Delta 2) on your brand new TRD OR incab or bed 120 outlets. Well, look for a different option as this suffers from the same issue as previous gen Tacomas. The output of the tacoma inverter is not clean enough to be used with this type of electronics.

I will be installing this around the holidays...

I don’t have an ecoflow delta but the unmodified inverter on my 2023 OR (same as 2024 non hybrid?) kept my Dometic PLB 40 battery charged up plenty enough to run my Dometic CFX 35 fridge 24/7 for two weeks on a recent road trip. When I’m home it gets some help from solar because I don’t drive so much. But on this trip there it was plugged into the truck bed outlet the whole time. The battery was typically at 60 to 70% in the morning and I did varied amounts of driving each day but it had no problem charging it back up to 100% fairly quickly. I’m sure there are some differences between these two batteries and I couldn’t really tell you what they are but I was very happy with the performance of the inverter and it was a rarely in Park generating the whole 400w, usually it was only the 100w.

I've had good luck charging my Ecoflow Delta 2 on my truck bed outlet (2018 gen3 truck but it sounds similar). I did the anytime 400w mod (so simple to snip the wire that signals the inverter you are in drive). The trick on the Delta 2 was to use the app to turn down the slow charge rate to a ceiling of 300w (set to 400w it occasionally trips the inverter off), then remember to flip the charge speed on the Delta down to slow. I fail to flip that switch down sometimes and after 6 hours of driving generate zero charge. The issue with the Delta 2 straight out of the box for me is that it kept tripping the inverter off immediately. Setting the max charge rate low solved the issue for me.

Got the same issue going here. Skipped the Hybrid because I didnt know how junk the Toyota inverters are. I got the EcoFlow River 2 Max and the app lets you drop the AC Charge speed down to 100 but that doesnt work for me and mine doesnt have a AC Charge Speed switch.

My Nissan Titan has a similar 400w inverter system, same issue, too dirty for fancy electronics.

The inverter is mounted behind the rear seat, on the rear bulkhead under the carpet. I checked the electrical schematic for my truck, and I am certain the Toyota is the same....we both have a 150/400 model. The circuit that runs it is dead simple, and I can swap out the OEM inverter for a REDARC 400W pure sine wave unit. It'll fit in the OEM spot, and it will be 400w any time I push the OEM button.

I plan on doing this soon, want to stick with 400w so I can retain the OEM wiring and system, and even switch back if I choose to.

I have a Anker Solix that also dislikes dirty AC power.

I confirmed that the Gen 3 Tacoma and Gen 2 Titan use the exact same inverter, slightly different pinouts and connectors.

However, I haven't been able to find a pic of the AC inverter in the new Tacoma. It'd be awesome if it's the same unit as the Gen 3, need more research. Looking at some schematics posted here, Gen 4 does seem to be the same connectors
